Question of the Day

What does it say about our culture and the role of sports and journalism in it that Cal Ripken, Jr., cancelled his appearance on Imus but Jeff Greenfeld and Howard Fineman didn’t (and Thomas Oliphant called in support)? Rhetorical, I realize, but I think it proves so much about modern “journalism” today. There was an alternative and it wasn’t chosen. It was called decency.
