Sleeper Cell

As The Boy posted earlier, Showtime's got some good shows in their lineup. I'd like to add one: Sleeper Cell. This drama focuses on an undercover FBI agent that gets recruited into a terror cell located in the US, who's planning an imminent attack. It kind of felt like watching 24 from a reverse point of view. I thought it was a really interesting show because it not only focused on the actual planning of the attack, but also delved into the personal lives of the members of the cell. The show really humanized them as not just faceless, heartless terrorists; but rather as men, many with families, who truly believed in their cause and their faith. There were moments of doubt from many of the characters as to whether what they were planning was really justice or just vengeance for how the West has treated the Muslim world. I'm not a movie critic by any means, but I felt that Sleeper Cell really gave a unique look into the touchy subject of terrorism and the state of the world today. But it true movie critic style, I give this series two thumbs up and a nod to the creators and actors. Check it out if you get a chance.
