FRI, er, TUESDAY BLOGROLL!!

Alright, so it's late...even later since I said I'd attempt this yesterday...even though this is in no way "abbreviated"...

Roy from Alicublog discusses what he likes about America. Meanwhile, Upyernoz discusses what he hates about holiday weekends.

Osama is a
bad man (AMERICAblog)! And not like Muhammad Ali was a "baaaad man!!" either. He's just bad, and the Bush Administration thinks we oughtta know.

Kapow (Atrios)! Really, Bill Bennett should just stop going on television. I would have thought he'd have learned that after his last trip to the Daily Show...and besides, the NYT didn't even reveal a secret (Avedon) in the first place. And it's not like the NYT's critics (in this episode) actually have any credibility (Greenwald). But that's enough of defending the NYT...it just feels icky (Billmon). This whole episode does prove once again that history repeats (Dana B.).

Speaking of
history repeating (Pandagon)...

Meanwhile on the subject of Guantanamo, BooMan
makes one of those "seems like common sense" points that have to be made over and over again because, well, it's not common sense to most.

I'm having trouble being witty about
this post (Len Hart).

Damn
activist judges (Debate Link).

Thank goodness
Joementum (Digby) is out there to protect Democrats from themselves. I mean, they could make a decision they regret! And whatever you're thinking, he's not just trying to have it both ways (FDL). Meanwhile, it's important to remember that there are still a lot of people out there who looooooove Joenertia (Echidne). Here's to hoping the bloggers get their open-net-goal wish (Great Society). And here's to hoping Lesley Gore never again gets compared (Susie) to that loser.

Poorman (via Demosthenes) warns us of the dangers of leftists with keyboards.

Q: How can I protect myself and my family from blogofascism?

A: Make sure your subscriptions to the New Republic are up-to-date, and make sure that you have at least one subscription for each member of your family, and for each room in your house. Give subscriptions to The New Republic as presents on Christmas, Presidents’ Day, birthdays, and un-birthdays. Make sure all your neighbors also subscribe to The New Republic; if not, sign them up for a free trial subscription and then make sure that the issue that comes with the “please cancel my free trial subscription” card mysteriously never reaches them. We’re not saying you should commit mail fraud, exactly - merely that you should do whatever is necessary to protect your family. Unless your local post office has been infiltrated by blogofascists, they should understand.
Leave it to Athenae to tie it all together and realize that, in actuality, Joementum is actually trying to protect us (First Draft) from blogofascism.

And speaking of
establishment Democrats (Left Coaster)...

The Washington Post is saying that Jim Talent's seat
is endangered (Fired Up! Missouri), though I'll still believe it when I see it.

Meanwhile, your House Majority Leader
is saying (Gadflyer) that a free press is too much for a free American society to handle.

Is terrorism attempted by
armies or scumbags (Interesting Times)?

Wolcott talks about something nobody wants to talk about.

No. 4 (Attaturk) is the most important--it didn't have to be this way.

And finally, I'd like to point out that
Zooey's best role (Mannion) was William Miller's sister in Almost Famous. Speaking of movies (Lefarkins)...
