As the progressive blogs deal with the WaPo's new lionization of Karl Rove and his plans for the 2006 election (not giving the Post the link, the bastards), I have one more thing to add to Arthur Silber's brilliant analysis below. How long do you think it will take Rove to realize that, if Silber is right and the Dems very predictably fold on Iran without sufficient public objection, dramatic attacks on Iran dramatically media-covered Iran in September or early October, timed so the Iraq replay doesn't set in until December or so, will so infuriate the Dems' "base" that they will flee in droves from their impotent, pathetic party on election day?
Add Schumer supporting Lieberman (or just inadequately responding to Lamont in victory) if Lamont beats the Bush-kisser in the primary, a few close defeats that lose the House and Senate and that inspire doubts about the ways the votes were counted, and Bushnev proclaiming a new "mandate," and, despite all the awards and appearances on Meet the Press Kos gets, the Dems may never recover, and neither will the political blogs on our side. Add retaining office for their depredations of the American Legacy and Rove will hit that famous trifecta.
Don't lose your voice yet, Arthur.
