Ozone and Fox News

Christian Science Monitor today reported that the planet's humans may have been successful in halting the rate of destruction of our ozone layer and the cancers that depletion can cause, due primarily to international cooperation since the Montreal Protocol in 1987 to take action against the chemicals that cause it, the same cooperation that still might make the difference against global warming if the right people were in office. But it got me wondering if we could have had this success if Fox and Osama bin Limbaugh and Bill O'Really??? and their other backwoods, inbred colleagues had been going full tilt when the agreements were made.

Is there any doubt that they would have opposed the agreement and likely succeeded in killing it or watering it down? Says all you need to know about those people, doesn't it?
