Joe Biden comes through...

...for the 0.1% of me that thought he could be come a legitimate threat for the Dem nomination in '08, Joe puts that 0.1% at ease (via CorrenteWire)...

Biden charms local GOP

“America needs, and I need, for the Republican Party to get back up,” he said.

“There’s not a single problem out there that cannot be solved without a bipartisan coalition,” said Biden, the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

...

Biden was on a roll.

Delaware, he noted, was a “slave state that fought beside the North. That’s only because we couldn’t figure out how to get to the South. There were a couple of states in the way.”

The crowd loved it.
Yuk yuk yuk. I should congratulate Joe for winning the votes of lots of Republicans. And all it lost him were the votes of Dems.

I will say this...I saw Biden talk about 10 years ago, and within 5 minutes he'd won over the entire crowd (Dems and Reps both). He was charming and engaging and seemed to make sense...and he was so engaged with himself that he was still talking 60 minutes later. And those same points didn't make as much sense the 18th time around. The dude loves to hear himself speak, I'll give him that.

And he has a -2% chance of winning the Dem nomination...so he should just stop now.
