Quick Notes

Here's how journalism can be done right. And it takes down one of our leading idiots, Sen. Jim Inhofe (REPUB-OK), letting him speak his nonsense, showing how even his Repub colleagues politely think he's nuts and dangerous, and then following with a point-by-point analysis of his "arguments" on global warming. Very nice work. Of course, you have to live in San Fran to get it, but still . . . . And here's an interesting piece on the "real time truth meter," a concept by Google's chair and CEO describing voters' ability to check candidates' and officials' public statements for their truthfulness (or truthiness, I guess) while they are making them. It's part of his new book, Annihilation from Within, that sees a new world coming. Sounds interesting, may check it out. It's just hard for me to buy that people who have a hard time with a ballot or seeing through Jim Inhofe will be all that great with "truth metering." But then I don't own Google, do I?
