Weather, Water, Energy 10-11-06

Climate Progress has a happy/sad post up on Norway's pledge to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 50%-80% by 2050. Happy to show someone knows what needs to be done, sad to . . . well, you can figure that one out. . . . Remember when we talked about the latest El Nino (still tilde-challenged) and the uncertainty about its severity this time? Well, doesn't look too bad for Asia or for the US. More good news. What's happening here???. . . And remember when we expressed some doubt about OPEC's pledge to cut production to get oil prices up, especially when Georgi needs low ones right now? Hmmm . . . . And more Alaska news. Horrible weather hammered the Alaskan pipeline and shut down most production the other day. Let's see . . . more oil use, more horrible weather, less oil, less horrible weather . . . I'm trying to figure out how we can make this work for us. Don't hold your breath, though.
