Already the New Number One

Forget being at center stage for next year’s Olympics (and all the athletes in respiratory distress lying around the podiums). While we’ve been monitoring Paris and Lindsay and honoring baseball cheaters and flushing money down the Middle East for a few US oil families, we’ve also been surpassed as the world’s economic leader, folks:

China is expected this year for the first time to make the largest single contribution to world growth of any country.
