The Magic Obstructor Theory

Will Bunch has flashed extremely bright lights at anyone expecting Arlen Spector to save this Republic from Bush the Younger and his Constitution trashers. It's not only that he's played the "concerned, then whore" role so many times in recent years, but he's the creative, unscrupulous SOB who foisted the "magic bullet" theory on the Warren Commission (my interpretation of Bunch's words, not his).

It's actually far worse than that. I'm not getting into those, oooohh, "conspiracy theories" here when I point out that it is demonstrated fact that the FBI and the CIA, as well as the Navy and Defense Intelligence, knew of Oswald and his bizarre personal history, which should have tipped off real law enforcement that the guy should be followed carefully in Dallas, much less not have a job allowing him to overlook the travel route of Kennedy's motorcade. But they didn't and Kennedy was killed, by Oswald and/or whoever. The federal authorities could not let it be known that they could have prevented it, so the sham of a Warren Commission, literally presented with the results before it even started (see my post on McKnight's Breach of Trust), was led by the nose to a report that would CYA the agencies' reputations. And who had both fingers up the Commission's nostrils? Arlen Spector.

In a just world, he would already be halfway through a prison sentence for obstruction of justice in the worst crime in American history. It's a sign of how far we've fallen that, not only is he a Senator, he's been there forever, and people with a straight face could expect him to come out on the right side of the American Legacy v. the new Union of American Republican Republics. Mark this down--before he's done, Bush will have everything he wants, and Spector will get away with eviscerating this country once again.
